Html Editor
Click “Html Editor” to open a web based html editor to edit e.g. Default comments, the Html Report or the Draft Report.
Set the Report Setting “Use Html Editor = Yes” to have Html Report, Bolt Report, Weld Report and Edit Report Draft open in the editor instead of in the web browser (or in Microsoft Word for the report draft).
The editor is based on Jodit, which is included in the app installation folder (see the “jodit” folder), so no internet connection is needed. The features in the editor may be modified by edit the source html file “HtmlEditor.html” found in the app installation folder.
Click “Open File” to choose the html file to edit. Images in the file are shown automatically, and their paths in the saved file are not changed.
New images inserted from the toolbar or pasted from the clipboard are embedded in the html file.
Click “Save” to save the file in place, or “Save as HTML” to save a copy. Files are always saved as UTF-8. Files saved from Word (“Save as Web Page”) in other encodings are converted when opened.
The editor runs as a local web page served by the Python 3 interpreter that ships with Ansys, which is what gives it access to the report’s images and lets it save files directly. Nothing has to be installed or configured. The editor process closes itself shortly after the browser tab is closed.
When “Clean paste” is ON, formatting pasted from Word/Excel is removed except table cell background colours and symbol fonts. When OFF, the Word/Excel formatting is kept.

Html Report
Click “Html Report” to create a HTML formatted report without importing it to Word.
The report opens in the web browser, or in the Html Editor if “Use Html Editor = Yes”, and is saved in the same Report Path as the Word report.
Table and figure caption numbers are printed instead of using the Word field tag.
The report can be edited in Word by: (Insert>Text from File…).
Make sure to select “Save pictures in document” (File>Info>Edit Links to Files).
Bolt Report
Click “Bolt Report” to create a HTML formatted report of all rivets, bolts and results including any comments, figures and images. This feature can only be used if the model contains Bolt Toolkit objects.
The report opens in the web browser, or in the Html Editor if “Use Html Editor = Yes”, and is saved in the projects “user_files” in a sub folder named after the current system, e.g. “SYS-1”.
The objects does not need to be tagged with “Report” to be included in the report.
Weld Report
Click “Weld Report” to create a HTML formatted report of all weld objects/results including any comments, figures and images. This feature can only be used if the model contains Weld Toolkit objects.
The report opens in the web browser, or in the Html Editor if “Use Html Editor = Yes”, and is saved in the projects “user_files” in a sub folder named after the current system, e.g. “SYS-1”.
The objects does not need to be tagged with “Report” to be included in the report.
