Scale the density of selected bodies at the environment level by a factor, average density or total mass

Background

• In structural static and dynamic analyses the total mass and mass distribution is important to get correct reaction forces, displacements and stresses.
• Mass can be added using a Point mass or Distributed mass in the Geometry group but you cannot remove mass! The defined mass is also the same for all linked analyses.

Solution

• The Density scaling app lets you modify the mass in a selected analysis without editing the Engineering Data by specifying a new mass, density or factor for a selected set of bodies.
  It is then not needed to break the link and have duplicate models to adjust the mass properties!
